May 17, 2006 【Important Notice】Change of the display format for Sponsored Search on Yahoo! JAPAN

We would like to announce the important changes of our sponsored search.

Yahoo! JAPAN, which enhances the search quality designed to bring advertisers more opportunities to obtain your high potential customers, plans to change of Advanced Match and the display form as follows:

The target affiliate partner site: Yahoo! JAPAN

Changes:
1. Updated Advanced Match

  • If your listings as well as the contents of your web site have high relevancy with the internet user’s search terms, your listings may be displayed as Advanced Match in the search result. When internet users click on the displayed listing, it will subject to charge you one per click.
  • Please note that your existing listings will likely not be displayed as Advanced Match if their relevancy with the internet user’s search terms is low. In that case, we recommend you to bid the listing as Standard Match

2. Change the display form on Yahoo! JAPAN

Yahoo! JAPAN will change the display form of the listings in order to achieve more effective display for the search users. Therefore, your listings (title, description, and URL) will be displayed as three lines advertisement.


As a result of these changes, listings will be displayed more effectively while the maintaining high relevancy, hence more high potential customers will be introduced to sponsor sites.
